If you get Max to work on Linux i promise i wil buy RNBO...
... and forget that you initially passed it as a free upgrade.
Cheers.
It can compile for Linux...
...can i patch on Linux?
Maybe for 30 days in wine? At least a decade ago, Maxplay would run in wine...; - )
You can export VST for Linux. It doesn't export Linux externals...
Anyway there are enough options to turn Pd patches into plugins... And Pd advanced as well...
The fact that i have many option to export things to Linux is awesome, but i need another OS to get there :(
The thing here is that i would really like to remove Mac and Windows from my life, i keep using my old macbook just because of Max.....
The moment Cycling was aquired by Ableton I gave up dreaming of it...:-(
As I am familiar with MacOS and I am still not so much with Linux, it wasn't too hard. And I would not swap my new M2 to any Intel based machine anyway...
When Cycling ported Max to Windows, there was the claim that a port to Linux would be much easier...
I still hope Ableton/Cycling will jump on the CLAP train... I would love to create CLAP plugins. The per voice modulation capabilities alone would make it worthwhile...
