Importing .OBJ file

    Hi all,
I'm getting my feet wet in Jitter in the worst way possible, in that I've never used it before and find myself in a project involving it.
That said, I've read through the tutorial 36 on importing the mushrooms obj file and still have no idea how to point the "read" message to find my own obj file on my local machine that I want to import into Jitter using the "jit.gl.model" object.
I get the printed error that Max5 can't find my file, but have no idea how to point it in the right direction.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Is the file in the same folder as the patch? Or is the file in your max folder? If Max can´t find the file the it seems like you might have stored the file outside its search directories.
You can define this directories by clicking in the menu Options>File preferences. Type your search directories here, and then restart Max

Which package are you using for exporting your mesh? I had some issues when exporting from Blender. Search on the forums as I posted this issue a while ago.

Maybe this thread can help a little bit:

I have still problems with exporting properly working .obj files for Jitter.
The best results where with Cheetah3d.
