If I am receiving incoming midi notes with [midiin] or [notein] that's triggering a calculation and want to just allow one midi note through into a patch instead of like two or more notes played at the same time, how do you do that? Not using select.

it seems if I have a sequencer playing notes into a patch, if on one beat numerous notes going in then it's going in 1 millisecond after another, and that is causing a trigger in my patch to happen more than just that beat, it will do it many times on that beat instead of just once which would be ideal.. Is this possible, could there be a work around?

Have you tried [ddg.mono] or [ddg.v2mono]?

Tried ddg.mono but I'm not sure if it is right, I've attached a simple patch to show what I am trying to achieve here, hope you can see what I mean..

You could create a timed gate and only allow the 1st note to pass until it reopens
