Increment / decrement in M4L

I'm editing a transposition patch to add octave buttons to it, and having trouble getting some basic inc/dec buttons working in Live - the stock one won't map to MIDI of course :(

This works so far but I can't figure out how to make it go into negative values, can anyone help?

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Thanks!

Can't comment on the negative values, but I fail to see the problem with inc/dec/buttons.

For example; why not use two live.buttons, one for lower and one for higher? Those can be midi mapped as well.

PS: you're in the wrong forum. Next time please click the "Max for Live" header (the blue one at the top) before using the "post" option. That will make sure that the post gets into the right section.

Right now we're talking in the "MaxMSP" section. No problem; don't worry about it since your topic makes it very clear to be M4L, just keep this in mind for a next time :-)

Ah, oops, wrong place!

Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough - I've already gotten as far as adding two live.buttons, but for some reason my unit won't go into negative values with the buttons! Very confusing...

I've added a .jpg of the patch to give you a rough idea. (inc / dec on right)

NB. I've been told off for crossposting this in the Ableton M4L forum, so here's that link in case anyone was able to help over there: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=170167&p=1334805#p1334805
