Inputting different MIDI Channels

I just learned that Live can't handle multiple MIDI Channel numbers in a single track, and I'm trying to find the simplest solution for my situation (I did search the forums, but can't find a good solution). I want to add 2 or 3 pitch bend messages coming from different controllers into one single signal (fyi, one normal keyboard pitch bend wheel for bending, one pitch bend using WAVE ring controller for vibrato and one pitch bend using my BBC2 controller for small portamentos before notes). To do that, I need to assign all these to different channels and then combine the different signals together.

Is there any way I can do that using M4L, or do I need an external app?

Also, is this "bug" going to be resolved anytime? I can't really see why Ableton programmers would want to keep it that way...

There is no sense combining 3 pitch bend controllers into 1
and then using it for 3 separate destinations ?
Or is maybe explanation wrong ?
If You are capable of reprogramming the hardware controllers,
assign wheels to 3 different CC# controllers on same midi channel,
or whatever that crapy Live would accept as input,
and route them to wished destinations.

There is one exception of Live's limitation: if the M4L device is an instrument (MIDI in/Audio out) it can work as 'multitimbral' instrument handling multiple channels, provided they are sent from other tracks. So you just need to route the controller data through 3 empty midi tracks.

Otherwise, if your device is a MIDI effect you can use [send/receive] to route the controller data from 3 input tracks to the device.

@source audio : I am not using the 3 pb for 3 separate destinations, but rather combining all pitch bend messages so they modulate one another. ie : I push the keyboard pb wheel up 1 semitone and now the pb signals coming from my ring controller oscillate around that value which corresponds to +1st. Otherwise, values jump all around and instruments sound like bagpipes on crack.

@Broc : I figured that would be the best solution. I just hoped I could get around having to set-up multiple input tracks for every project. I guess if I create some template it wouldn't be such a hassle.
