Installing Mira-- where is "Package"

I just bought the Mira iPad app from iTunes and then downloaded the Mira package and got the .dmg , but when I try to drag the Mira stuff (the .dmg file) to the Package directory using the installer screen that pops up, it just zoops back to Mira. Where is my Max "Package" directory supposed to be? Sorry for such a basic question... Do I need to somehow expand the .dmg to become a package and then put THAT into my Application folder?
thanks,
Chuck Cooper

@chuckster Inside the mounted .dmg file, you'll see two folders. One is called Mira, the other is called Packages and should be a shortcut to you packages folder. Just drag the Mira folder (from within the .dmg, not the dmg itself) into the Packages folder to install.

For future reference, that Packages folder is at Applications/Max 6.1/packages

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Sam! I think the problem is that I'm not (yet) using Max 6.1 . I'm still using 6.0.7 for reasons of compatibility with some Java mxj~ externals I wrote here. There is no /packages folder in the Max 6 system.

Would Mira still work with 6.0.7 rather than 6.1? If not, I'll try to install 6.1 on my newer Mac and use Mira with that.

Thanks again,
Chuck

Ah, yeah, that could do it. You're going to want at least Max 6.1.3 for Mira. My bad, should have asked that first :)

OK, I'll get version 6.13 and try that with Mira. I got version 6.0 about a year ago and I assume that if I download 6.13 it will go into a different directory (Max6.1) and not interfere with my precious stuff in version 6.0x .

Thanks again for your quick help!
