sometime ago i came across the xgroove object..

i started using it in most of my patches..

my question is.. everytime i launch one of those patches, the patch cant find the xgroove object.. so i have to go to the menu install it again, and then re-rename the xgroove objects, so max knows where they are...

If you make sure that the .mxo is in the folder Max5/Cycling74/msp-externals, then it will work.

It just has to be in the search path of the patch it's in, but if you put it in the main search path then it is treated just like all the other maxmsp objects.

You can organize your objects in a myriad of different ways. Just sticking everything into msp-externals/ is not necessarily the optimal organization (but it works, too.)
