interpolation problem with mc.line~

Very new to MC.
I have built a patch that randomizes the signal value of 8 channels, using mc. target and mc.sig~.
I wanted to implement linear interpolation for them within MC.
I have attempted to do this by using mc.line~.
According to jit.cellblock, which I use to monitor the channels, the interpolation is happening.
But when I plug it into mc.sig~ there is no effect.
I guess it is likely a syntax error.
I tried using mc.line as well (no ~) and then the interpolation sort of works but sounds monophonic.

Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.
sig~ (and mc.sig~) takes a float to set it's value, and in this case, the mc.sig~ seems unnecessary, as these are already signals:
