Invitation to participate in the inaugural Musebot ensemble
We invite Maxers to contribute musebots for two events this summer: ISEA (Vancouver) and ICCC (Park City Utah). Different ensembles will be curated for installations that will continuously run over several days.
Musebots are “pieces of software that autonomously create music, collaboratively with other musebots”.
More info here: http://metacreation.net/musebots/
Basically, they are generative patches that communicate with other patches through OSC messages to create, for now, music for a ‘chill-out’ room.
We have examples patches in Max available to wrap around your patch – right now, we are looking for other people to contribute generative beat-makers, bassplayers, melody patches, and anything else that could be combined with other generative patches to create some interesting music.
Sounds Great!
How can I Participate?
