Hello All,

anyone successfully done this?
cheers,

Hi Chris.
I don't have any experience of using the iPad with TouchOSC (yet) but I'm considering it. It would be great if you could contribute to the previous "Is it Worth Buying an iPad Just to Use it as a Max/MSP Controller?" thread. I'd definitely like to hear the details of why you went for it and how it's working out (not too smoothly at the moment, by the sounds of it but I'm sure someone here will help you out).
hi everybody,
long time max list contributor lawrence casserley (if you don´t know him, he´s one of the guys who got lost with the forum transition - worth looking him up) recently wrote on another list:
"I have been using TouchOSC on an iPad in performance for just over a month now. I'm really pleased with it. It is easy to interface to my instrument, especially as I had previous experience with the Lemur. There are not quite as many options as with the Lemur, but it is so light and easy, and the wireless connection frees me from being tied down to the gear in a way I have long dreamed of. The larger screen makes it much more useful than the iPod/iPhone version. Highly recommended!
Best
Lawrence"
now, if i only had the money...

Or, you could try Fantastick. It takes a bit more time to setup (you have to build your own interface with drawing commands), but I found it very reliable and super customizable.
I managed it in the end. The iPad with Touch OSC makes an awesome music controller. I think this device is going to be very good to music technology
