Is MAX/MSP dead or something?

I see recent posts on the forums, however when I try to purchase MAXMSP individual license the netsuite website stalls out...

I tried calling cycling74.com support and got an automated response stating "no such extension exists".

So last resort was to email them, and I have yet to recieve a responce...

What's going on here? Anyone else have issues like this lately?

Starting to have second thoughts about buying MAXMSP if this a common type occurence :/

*Update: I called my bank and they verified that the charge hadn't even reached them so it is an error on the companies side *cycling74*.

Yes, they're still around. Perhaps their online store could use an overhaul.

I just this week emailed them a question about VSTs and they emailed me back the same day with an answer.

You saw that they just upgraded Max to 6.1.2 last week? (Edit: 10 hours ago?)

Hi Andrew I'm interested in selling my max6 license.

I've got email confirmation from cycling74 that its ready for transfer etc.

Please hit me back if you are interested....

Apologies if that post contravenes forum etiquette etc, or offends anyone...

I couldn't see a place to buy and sell on the forum, and while I am a strong supporter of independent software houses working hard on specialist stuff, I also don't want to leave an expensive and powerful software gathering dust!

Anyway

Me? Naah, not really interested. Someone will want it though.

@dolby300: Did you just try to sell a Max 6 license to a Cycling '74 employee? lol

well, i have to say. I have been trying to buy Max for 5 days now with no success whatsoever. I first paid for the thing, then sent the student status verification info over. When i heard nothing from their end, i sent a message to sales. They replied that the thing should have been processed already, but no one had managed to send me any info about that. Still got no auth. I clarified the problem to this sales-person, but he/she has yet to reply. It's 3-4 days now. Processing an order doesn't take that long and if by some miraculous turn of events it actually does then i would like to know about it. After this i have now sent 3 separate messages about the situation to different e-mails and even provided them with a new copy of my student info. Still got no reply whatsoever. Also, the online store page doesn't seem to get registrations right, since it doesn't allow me to log in, even though i created the account (didn't get any confirmation of that, or any receipts either, of course) The payment processing site did get the dough reserved from my bank, however, but that's about the only thing that is actually done so far. Haven't heard of order processing this slow when the actual product is digital. I really would like to buy Max and use it, but i can't blame myself for making this so hard. I wonder what on earth is going on with Cycling74.
