Is MIRA stable enough for live performances?

I'm working on a live setup (using max patches, only) and was looking at midi controller options

I already have a Faderfox EC4 that I want to use, But I wanted something else for bigger patches. Something that, beneath interesting control opportunities, also offers good feedback of my patch states and presets

I have an iPad lying around and just remembered I bough the MIRA app a long time ago

I remember having some problems when I used it back then. But haven't touched it in ages

Seems quite stable now… anyone uses MIRA in a live setup, though? Is it stable for you? any latency problems?

MIRA has so much potential, maybe Ableton buying off cycling74 put a hold to the project :/

i have been using Mira since the day it came out on a 1st generation ipad (it's the only reason i own a tablet and that is all i use it for) and once the option to connect via USB cable became available, it has been pretty solid for me. i always found the ad hoc connection spotty for my own taste, but connecting wirelessly via solid wifi connection works seamlessly however, that is rarely an option at gigs. Of course, i wish cycling74 developed Mira more, but it seems more like abandonware at this point.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I also connect via USB and only had some jitters when I didn't touch it for a while. But so far I think it should work for what I wanna use it for live.

But yeah, too bad that it seems to be abandonware…

Maybe it's interfering too much with Ableton's Push. But I don't know

Could be useful to test iOS apps, that people want to make with RNBO, though

Have you considered bringing your own router to run your own wifi network at the gig?
