is quat from jit.anim.node normalised ?
my calculations said yes.
but I'm as sure about my calculations (in general) as I prefer to ask.
I'm not sure either, but I'm quite confident that these objects only produce unit quaternions:

Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.
This little patch shows how to check and to compensate if necessary:
it should be normalized, unless you set it to unnormalized values.

I didn't find the way to switch that, but it is okay.
I wouldn't have needed that anyway.
important is my quat is normed.
