jit.lcd - trouble finding newly installed fonts
Apr 02 2009 | 2:53 pm
I recently installed new fonts to my Mac (PPC 10.4.11, Max 5.0.5) via Font Book (from .bmap files - worked fine) and want to use them with jit.lcd. When I tried to call them up with the usual font message, I get the following jit.lcd error:
ATSUFindFontFromName failed for [my new font]
Any ideas on how I can get around this? I've tried case-sensitive variants with no luck. There's no documentation on this in Max, from what I can tell in poking around. Does anyone know whether this is a Max problem or a Unix problem?
I'm kind of new to using specific fonts, but from what I can gather, ATSUFindFontFromName is a Unix command.
Thanks for any help!
