jit.qt.movie makes Live window turn white?

I'm building a patch to play video clips inside Live. Jit.qt.movie, or maybe it is the jit.window, sometimes makes the Live window go partly, or completely white, when closing the Max editor. And the only way to make the white fields go away is to restart Live. Does anybody experience this problem? And know what to do about it?

Thanks

Still can't get what is happening in Live. Here's a screenshot of Live when the problem occurs. The machine doesn't freeze, but the whole working space just goes white (apart from my device, in the bottom left, as you can see.

Help someone?

So - now I got a reply from the Cycling support. This seems to be an issue in Ableton Live. Which won't be fixed in Live 8. Will have to live with the bug or buy Live 9 and hope that they'll have fixed it...

This is from the Cycling support:

"However, there will be no more releases of Live 8 and Max 6.0.x, or Max for Live for Live 8. This bug has been intermittently reported for Live 8 but never made it to engineering.

I'm sorry that this is not what you wanted to hear, but it is the reality of the situation. The problem here could be caused by the floating window, or it could be caused by the waveform object."

Same here with 10.6.8 on a mbp 2 x 2,4 ghz live 8.3.4 max 6.08. I work on two video devices these days, and only one exhibits the same behaviour as yours. No waveform object in it though. In the other patch, I use openGL and not Jitter to mix videos, maybe that's the reason why this patch doesn't suffer from the 'white window' bug.

Here's my faulty device Can you test it and tell me if you get the same result ? Did you try to use videoplane in your device ? It seems that my device using openGL doesn't have that bug.

The problem is related to jit.window.
We have reproduced it and we're working on it now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers
