jit.qt.movie smart solution for multicannel audio?
hey guys,
I'm still looking for a smart solution to play a movie with jit.qt.movie and to route the 4 audio channels of the movie file to the output of my soundcard. I'used the solution of Rob posted herer: https://cycling74.com/forums/multi-channel-sound-in-jitter/
But I'm asking myself if there is a "newer" soltution with max 6.1? I read serveral times that you just need a 4channel-audio quicktime file and load it in jit.qt.movie. Then set up the soundcard for 4channel output. But that doesn't work for me (rme fireface uc, windows 7, max 6.1).
Any solutions or suggestions?
Thanks.
just check if sound tracks are well routed in your movie using QT "cmd J" (on mac). usually I route on discret 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.
I did it rcently with 8 tracks without problem.
maybe somebody is still reading this....
I am very familier in using multichannel qt movies in max using the above method on Macintosh.
Now unfortunatelly I have to transfer a patch to a windows computer and I just cannot get it to work.
(I tried on Windows 7 and on Windows 8).
The problem seems to be, that on the windows machine the quicktimeplayer just doesn't use or communicate with the sound card. I tried several routings inside the quicktimefile without success.
What do I have to do to get quicktime to play multichannel audio on a windows computer???
It's driving me mad!
Thanks in advance!
