Joystick to M4L mapper/ how to make it versatile and turn button to slider?
Hi there,
I just fastly combined this patch to map any HID input to ableton live.
( it's my firsts patches so i don't even unerstand some of the things i used but )
I would like it to be more dynamic and adapt to different inputs.
i.e.:
-toggle could turn into slider regarding the float presence and if position changes in the hid list
- dead inputs could become grey stripes or even disappear,
- a "hide" button to mask min/max/map buttons and keep only the visual feedback, is it possible to fold a live M4L device in its presentation?
I absolutely don't know how this is possible with max, (but i'm pretty sure it is...)

Here's a few things i'd like to solve:
- adaptive input ( continuous controller or bang or toggle), regarding input style ( with a maximum object changing slider to button)
- switch button between trig or toggle
- adaptive output ( doesn't work on solos for dark reason "switch something"...
- map one boutton or one axis to several destinations
- exact 0 when changing on split axis mode (maybe smth else than via set 0)
- preset managing ( one button to rule them all!)

I'd need to add increment possibility... hard conserving the adaptive swith types/... any ideas?
then i wonder why I can't map start clip buttons, it does'nt work well with ableton looper rec button (that allows to maintain rec to clear loop)..?
and why the name retreiving doesn't include track id?

I got a problem with the mapping boutton allowing to click on "map" and then assign a live function,
could anybody send me a mapping button that work with live 10?
Therefore i could update my patch and make it usable again ...
