Korg Kaoss Pad Quad/Max MSP Patch?
Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to Max MSP, its one of the main focuses in my Computer Sound module at university so i'm just getting used to it. For one of my assignments I have got to do a live performance consisting of manipulating pre-recorded samples live in Max. I thought it might be cool if I could do so using a Kaoss Pad Quad and create a patch that takes advantage of the XY pad... But my only connections on the Quad are Stereo RCA connections... so is it still possible to create a patch using the Kaoss Pad Quad?
Thanks guys, any help or advice would be really appreciated!

Hi
sadly, you've only got audio in-out on these, so no use as a MIDI controller; I really can't see why they ditched MIDI (price bracket I guess), I've had hours of endless fun with my KP2 and Max.
You could either:
(i) pass audio from MaxMSP into the KP4 for processing, or
(ii) pass audio from the KP4 into Max, and use another controller for manipulation.
It depends on how strict the criteria for your assignment are. Neither of the above scenarios emphasize Max. You can grab a secondhand KP2 quite cheap on e-bay etc.

That's what I was afraid of... Probably going to have to think of something else then. Thanks for the help though man!
