latency_in_ms and latency_in_samples not available?
The LOM documentation says you can get the latency_in_ms and latency_in_samples on a device, but I just tried it and it doesn't work. Plus when I call getinfo on a device, those two properties are missing. I tried with different types of devices, and nothing.
What's going on?

Why does mine do this? This is the same error I get when trying to get latency on any device of any type.
I'm currently on my 2015 MacBook Pro 15", OS Catalina v10, max v 8.3.1 and ableton v 11.2.5

This is the result I get from getinfo on a Soothe2 vst. As you can see the latency properties are missing completely.
For me getinfo works.
Problem may be that you have the type PluginDevice, not MaxDevice.
No, unfortunately that's not the reason. Besides, every audio effect max device or not should have latency attributes.
I tried updating to the latest max version, and still no luck.
