Litter for max 6 woes
I was really excited to have a new SSD installed in my powerbook, and finally upgrade to live9/Max6. Now 90% of my patches/devices don't work because I didn't realise that the excellent LitterStarterPack doesn't work in max6.
Please somebody tell me I am mistaken :(
Danny
Litter Pro works fine on Max 6.0 and 6.1 (update to Litter Power version 1.9 required for Max 6.1).
The freeware Litter Starter Pack has, unfortunately, not yet been updated for Max 6-compatibility. I know this is a bummer, but I've not had time for maintaining the freeware version. Hopefully I will be able to get to this after Easter.
I feel badly about the Starter Pack, but sometimes I do have to focus on things that pay the bills.-(
Peter, thanks for getting back to me. Please don't feel bad, you deserve maximum kudos for the bundle/library. That's great news, I have no problem what so ever handing over money for such an invaluable set of objects/tools, i've been meaning to buy the pro pack for a while now, I just didn't want to make the same mistake twice. The Litter site hasn't been updated for a while by the looks of things and I wasn't sure of compatibility. When I get paid, It will be mine :) and hopefully I can return to Maxing normality.
Thanks again Peter for your amazing work
Danny
Thanks for the enthusiasm, Danny, it's always appreciated!
I just wanted to mention here that there is also the "Classic Litter" package, which is entirely abstraction based. Works with any and every Max release, and you can tweak things to your heart's content. And it is absolutely free.
Most of the Litter Power objects started life as abstractions (at least the Max-based ones; the MSP domain is another matter).
Classic Litter is available from the Web site at BEK . (Modernizing the site is also on the to-do list. Alas, it's also one of those things that tends to percolate downwards)-.
