I'm trying to get the current arranger play time in ms to be able to sync an external visual system.

I can't figure out how to do it! I saw Song.current_song_time but the output is strange. It seems to correspond to approximately 2 x the current seconds, compared to time in the UI. It does however react to the tempo, which is what I need.

What is current_song_time, and can I use it to get the actual play time respecting the tempo automation? If not, how do I do that?

LOM says current_song_time gives the time in beats.

New Live Sets default to 120 BPM, which is probably why you are seeing 2 beats per second.
