live.button is temperamental

    Jan 08 2016 | 11:49 am
Once in a while, it will stay lit for some time, with no pattern I can reproduce : I just create a default object, click it several times, at some point it stays on for a while, then turns off, or stays on after loading the device... This bug has always been here as far as I can remember, and has been discussed in other threads. It keeps me from using live.button when I want to map it through Live, and I think I'm not alone, so maybe it's time for a code repair ?

+1 always annoying - but nevertheless it seems to react like it should (sending a bang on a new click)

+1 and if you map it, it reacts as a toggle. frustrating..

make it send a bang to itself and it work like a button again. but if you want to record automation it needs to be a toggle.

//make it send a bang to itself and it work like a button again The "self bang trick" is just working with mapping. If i click the live-button, it double-bangs (sometimes).

I hope they they can fix some of these limitation we had to live with for ages now. Maybe now when Max and Live come closer together in Live 10?

Unfortunately this bug is still in Live 10/Max8. But i've already reported those live.button issues. We'll see.
