Live scope controls?

Hi folks,
I was recently made aware of live.scope in max, which is very nice for looking at low frequency waves. But I can't figure out how to manipulate the time axis to look at faster waves. None of the parameters in the inspector are doing it (at least, I don't think so), and I'm not seeing any way to do it in any of the places where I'd expect to see it. I did find a few patches that had it set up to work with triggers, but nothing about just changing the time scale the way one does on the analog scopes that we're emulating.

Any clues would be appreciated! Thanks,
-mk

Just giving this one a bump. How do you change the parameters of "live scope", and are there other "live" modules I should know about? (Like a spectrograph, maybe?)

If you want to look at faster waves, you must "zoom in", that is, narrow your time window. In this case, the parameter is the number of samples. If you want to have the waveform fixed, use the "trigger" mode instead of "history". Is that what you mean?

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

And no, there's no live.spectrograph~, but it would be a great addition.

Ah, that worked like a charm. I was assuming that number of samples was controlling the resolution. (Wrong again!). Thanks much! I'm going to look for a nice VST spectrograph to use as a companion to the scope.

You don't have live.spectrograph~ but you can use spectrograph~ object or build your own using Jitter.
