Live.Step - Smaller intervals

I'm trying to use Live.Step as a percussion sequencer, generating random placements of notes to create a phrase.

The only problem is that I can only place notes very firmly on the Live.Step Grid. I can't for example shift individual notes slightly to the left or right. At the moment I can only place it rigidly at 1-16 in a 16 beat phrase, but I'd like to be able to put it at 15.3 or something.

Is there a way to do this? Any suggestions welcomed,

Thanks, DJS.

Hello, live.step doesn't allow the user to "slide" note onsets around. Each step in a sequence has the same duration, which is set in ticks. The maximum number of steps is 64.
Live.step is pretty feature-rich, the documentation is a start but experimentation is needed to uncover all the features outlined in the object reference. Here's a start:

This patch will load and immediately clear the live.step data, set it to 64 steps with e 64th note interval. Click the toggle to start playback using the Max Global Transport. The live.step will play each step at duration of 30 ticks.
