Live Stream Multi-Channel Audio and Video
Hello all,
I'm in my final year of uni and working on my final year project. My project is to stream a live gig to a cinema-style screening with the aim of mixing the audio in 5.1 surround at the screening. My main issue at the moment is being able to stream 6 channels of audio to another computer at the screening from the live gig. Then I remembered that it could be done in Max/MSP...
I've been looking at the jit.net.send/jit.net.recv to be able to send the audio from one computer to the other via IP. I'm not sure, however, if this would only work on a LAN or whether I could connect the computers at 2 separate venues. Some help with this would be greatly appreciated...
The other issue is creating a basic mixer that can accommodate at least 6 channels of audio ins/outs and be able to stream them over a network. I've looked online and most places seem to tell me that I need to place the audio in a matrix? Not entirely sure how to do that so again, HELP!
Thanks for any advice in advance
