Load error on Phidget externals
Hi,
I'm getting this
Error 14001 loading external PhidgetServo
Appertly max can't discover them in my external folder.
I'm sure max is looking in the right directory cause I've checked that through the other externals.
I'm running Max 4.6.2 and Phidget21Manager and downloaded the latest externals from Phidgets.com
I'm new to max so I'm sure I could have omitted something to make phidgets work.
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Can't wait to get these motors to spin ;)

What flavor computer are you running this on?
Mac OS X requires that you install a kernel extension.
Painless.

I'm running on windows xp.
Tryed it on another system and got the same error,
so I must be omitting some driver or something but as far as I can tell, I've installed them properly...
hey, did u ever figure this out?
i just go the phidget accelerometer and have same problem.
windows xp, max 4.5.1
Yeah,
I upgraded to 4.6 and everything worked fine.
So didn't look any further.
Hope you can do the same.
Good luck
Hello!
I have experienced this same (14001) error on XP SP2 with Phidgets as well. For me it required this sequence:
Uninstalled .NET 2.0
Installed .NET 3.0
Uninstalled Phidgets framework 2.1
Uninstalled Max 4.6.2 and Jitter
Installed Phidgets framework 2.0
Installed Max 4.6.2 (but not Jitter)
Added Phidget externals
This got rid of the loading error for me in Max, but I don't know which step actually was critical, and don't have the time right now to try out the different combinations. Information on this problem is pretty thin everywhere I looked. For all I know, installing Jitter now may break things again. Installing the Phidgets 2.1 framework may break things again. Who knows? I'm going to stop right now, though because the little buggers are loading and this is all I need at the moment.
Cheers,
Chad
