loading patch (please wait)

hi

I have a large patch and would like a pop up to appear as soon as possible to say "please wait" as the patch loads
and then for that to disappear and leave the main patch in view.

is there a trick to this so i could initially open a lightweight patch with a " please wait" message, then using thispatcher open the main patch and then once it is fully loaded, close the initial one ? I tried this but when closing the initial "please wait" patcher, as it was the first to be loaded it closes the main patch.

thanks for help.

You can either load it in a bpatcher in the main window, then hide/delete/remove it, or load your main patch (empty, or blacked out), then pop up the new window which shows "please wait", and leave it up while all the main bpatchers of the actual patch load. You can even use a bang from the bpatchers to close the "please wait" one.

Thank you both, I managed to use scripting to make it happen with bpatchers. I was becoming stuck before as I was using standard patchers (aka sub patchers) and that was no good for keeping the presentation mode in operation. and so forth.

Thanks again for your help : )
