    I've been trying to use loadram and it seems to work fine for one film. read, load ram and what a while . . . and it plays. I'm trying to load 3, plenty of RAM compared to the film sizes, i.e. around 8 GB of films into 16 GB RAM. But once I try more than one it freezes up.
    Is there a modus operandi for this ? And some way of getting notification once a film loads ?

      The available RAM is limited to what a 32 bit system can do. Realistically, in Max, you probably will hit a wall somewhere around 3+ GB.
      There are some workarounds using ramdisks, give a search on the forums for this.

      Thanks Ben, that is good to know. I'll try and make a patch for the weird bar problem.

      or use a ssd disk ;-)
