logic TO max

Hey fellow max users!

I just started using Logic Pro and there are some great software instruments in there. I'm trying to use them with Max. However I am having some trouble. I can't post a patch at the moment but basically I have a midiin object connected to "to Max 1" and I can get midi info from an external midi track in Logic if I set the port as "to Max 1" . However, I am unable to set the port on a software instrument track. Any idea what I should do?

Software instrument tracks ?? in Logic or Max ?

Sorry if I was unclear- I'm trying to use one of the software instruments (specifically, the "Backward Bowed Piano") from Logic and have it sound/controlled from MAX. When I create a new track in Logic and make it an "External MIDI" track, I am able to route its MIDI info to MAX. However, the software instruments of Logic only work in "Software Instrument" tracks, not "External MIDI" tracks, and I can't seem to route a "Software Instrument" track to MAX the way I am able to route an "External MIDI" track to MAX (which is done by changing the "Port" to "to Max 1"- the "Port" option does not appear on the software instrument track, which is the problem).

Sorry if this is confusing- if making a video would help I can do that!

For controlling a software instrument in Logic you would have to send MIDI from Max to Logic using [midiout] connected to the Port "from Max 1".
