I am thinking about buying this gamepad below (to open up and solder some touch sensors too it)

It says it uses DirectInput and XInput, but I don´t see anything about HID

Does Max6 support using a controller like this with some external or something else?

If you simply want a barebones joystick for your own inputs I'd recommend buying one from www.leobodnar.com

If these Logitech ones work as a pc game controller then j[oystick] should detect them.
