look at this picture and help me please
i have been working with this patch
and for the first time (new to max) i am having some distortion/noise and color problems with my video
can anyone diagnose this by looking at the picture.
the first patch in teh series works fine.. the rest do this.
thanks
Guys, this is art! Pity you're not from Japan...
But I can't reproduce, when I use a movie as input, it shows up correctly...
As always, platform, hardware info would help us better answer your questions. Could be shader differences with your hardware. this looks like the color is over/under saturating and wrapping around the 8bit color space, but that's just a hunch.
macbook (santa rosa chipset) core2duo, 4 gigs ddr2, leopard
every once and a while upon first opening my video window it will show good clean video for about half a second and then flips to this.
is there any other info i could give you?
i can't understand why part 1 works but 2,3,4 all show the low res colors
one last bump before i give up on this macbook and video processing :(
the important bit of information you left out is the graphics card.
if it is an integrated intel graphics card, you are very limited on what you'll be able to do with shaders.
First suggestion would be to try bypassing different sections of the patch and see which processing module is introducing the bad color effects, and maybe try changing some of the controls. Chances are, if you are using a MacBook (non-Pro), you'll be limited in what you can do with jit.gl.slab because of the on-board GPU not being intended for high end image processing.
