looking for a max for live device that can map an oscillator output to any parameter (like the max lfo but keytracked)

I'm very much a beginner with max and struggled to create this device. but there is none available and it would be an incredibly useful device. It would allow any parameter in any synth or plugin to be frequency modulated in key with the source sound. thus creating a lot of the power of modular synthesis within Ableton/max.
features -
it would essentially be an oscillator (preferably 3-4) which has its output as a map button like the max lfo.
it would work like a normal synth with multiple basic waveforms (saw, sine, tri, square) and be triggered by keys so that the output was synchronised to the key played in a synth
it would only need a few simple controls
depth (how much the signal affects the parameter)
tuning functions, semitone, fine tune and octave switch

If anyone thinks they can build this or help me build this I would really appreciate it. thanks!

Hi Alex,

Can you rephrase this [large and ambitious] ask into more bite-size questions that are easier to answer? Then you can learn and gradually get the tools/skills to build it yourself.

It sounds like a modified version of the LFO patch would get you a lot of the way there. I can also say that I have 3 'official' LFO devices. One is "LFO.amxd" from Live 10, and with Live 9 I got "LFO.amxd" and "LFO MIDI.amxd" which has key-tracking ability which might be similar to what you're looking for. (Maybe the Live 9 ones were in one of the free Packs from ableton?).

Cheers,
Tyler
