M4L Clip Metadata
Is there a way in max for live of grabbing metadata from an Ableton Live clip. If not is there a way in which max can get hold of the actual file path of a clip in ableton live so that the file could be picked up at some point in the chain to grab the metadata directly from the file.
I want to be able to make use of the metadata for individual clips to be used i an interactive application which displays the metadata back to the user somewheree along the chain.
If this isnt possible in live, could anyone possibly offer any solutions using python maybe or any of the other languages that ableton allows some forms of interaction with.
Did you ever get any further with this? im trying to extract cover art, and was hoping for some form of insight.
I had made something like that in Max using jit.cellblock. I don't think this is possible directly in Live. So you'll have to get the file path through the LOM then get the tags. Let me know if my patch could be useful for you.
