M4L Device for triggering notes

Good day,

you know some plugins using key switches in their instruments.

I would like having some kind of "surface" (a Max for Live Device?) in Live that is able to trigger these notes that contain key switches.

Therefore I should be able to specify the note range that should be resembled in the Device. I imagine to have 16 buttons that trigger the lowest up to the highes note that can be set in the Device (lowest and highest note - all other notes should become auto-mapped to the other buttons). Also, it would be helpful if you could configure the Device to consider semi notes or to map the buttons to whole notes only (some key switches are mapped to semi notes, some only to whole notes).

Andybody would be able creating such a device?
