hello max list-

i am running a max/jitter patch with a few video effects etc... and i
usually have no performance issues except for when the fan of the
macbook pro comes on. the fps drops to ~8 fps. once the fan slows back
down and eventually silent my fps goes back up to normal ~25. has
anyone else had this type of problem?

thank you -
parag.

Have you verified that your CPU setting in the Energy System
Preference is set to "Maximum", and not "Automatic"?

Hi Jeremy-

Thanks for the reply.. I looked at my Energy Savers preferences and I
don't see anything directly about CPU settings, but I have the settings
set for Power Adapter to High Performance. This seems to only affect
display options however, e.g. display brightness, sleep time...

Just an update,

Appears there was something wrong with my macbook pro, as the keyboard
and touchpad no longer work. The tech's say there was some
overheating issue and they have to replace the keyboard and top
frame... I don't know if there is any link between this problem and my
performance issues but who knows.
