Managing abstractions inside M4L devices - "newobj myAbstraction: no such object"

Hello, Is including an abstraction in the Max "File Preferences" the only way for a M4L device to find this abstraction? I am sharing with several performers a Live project with M4L devices that use several of my abstractions. Right now the simplest set of instructions to the performers is: 1/ download myAbstractions folder 2/ download Max 3/ open Max and under Options/File Preferences, include myAbstraction folder in the File Preferences 4/ download Ableton Live 5/ open Live and under Preferences/File Folder/ Max Application click on "browse" and select the application Max you just installed 6/ download my Ableton Live project
Isn't there a more simple way? I have tried to include the abstractions in the same folder as the .als file but Max still doesn't find the abstractions. It would be great if there was a sort of "Collect All and Save" for abstractions and externals, wouldn't it? Or if Max could look into the Live project by default. I hope I am missing something!
if you have suggestions, please share them! thanks Florent

thanks so much! I totally forgot about the freeze function I knew there had to be an easier way!
