Equirectangular image (pseudo 3d?) onto portion of sphere as texture?
I took an image with the Matterport app (https://matterport.com/) on iphone and can view and navigate through it nicely in the Matterport app. The same image opens correctly with Pano2VR (https://pano2vr.en.softonic.com/mac) and I can navigate through it as if it were 3D (well, kindof...).
However, I cannot seem to view the image correctly on a jit.gl.gridshape (tried plane but it gets distorted, and evidently doesn't map onto a sphere). I believe that both these apps are using Equirectangular Projection. Is there a way I can create a partial sphere surface in Jitter and get the correct mapping? Anyone got experience with this? Mesh object maybe? I attached the image. Any feedback greatly appreciated!!
