I am new to max! I have 4 gainsliders controlling levels of 4 sfplay objects, output of the sliders are connected to pan2 objects so i can use a dial to control panning for each sound. This panning works when I connect the outputs from pan2 to a ezdac but if i connect all outputs from the 4 pan2 objects to a gainslider i made for a master fader the panning stops working. What can I do?

I hope you can understand what i mean. I can upload a screenshot if i didnt explain well enough.

Would appreciate anyone trying to help me in replies.

multiple signals into [gain] are summed in mono i think, so obviously you lose your stereo/pan control; I suggest linking multiple gains via their right outlet; but this seems unnecessary if you already have gain sliders BEFORE the pan objects.....
