Max 5 and Mac Power PC

I am running OS 10.5 on my PowerBook PPC and am planning on buying Max/MSP/Jitter in the near future. What I am wondering is if Max 5 will work with at PowerPC or if I should get the current version of Max and wait to upgrade when I get a new laptop (probably next fall).

Also, how well are the current versions of Max/MSP/Jitter working with 10.5? I have a 1.25 ghz PowerBook with 1.256 GB ram and a 100 GB hd.

Thanks for the feedback.

Ive been running 10.5 for some time, with the latest Jitter and Max.
besides some reported incompatibilities with 3rd party objects, the
core max runtime and environment, and jitter, seem to be 100% stable.
