We've released a quick Max 7.3.3 update that fixes some problems with pattrstorage subscriptions (that especially affected the Sonic Faction Hypermorph Live Pack), addressed some problems with the seq object, and a bug with vst~ plugin paths in the context of pattrstorage/parameters.

You can download the Max 7.3.3 installers here:

Enjoy!

Fixed Bugs:
• pattrstorage: Fixed issues with subscription list initialization/save (fixes Sonic Faction Hypermorph Live Pack)
• seq: fixed issue with 'write' message absolute path arguments
• seq: fixed multi track save issues with type 1 MIDI files
• vst~: fixed plugin path garbage characters in context of pattrstorage / parameters

Thanks.
Does it also fix the bug with the "patchcords to nowhere"? (Patchcords that get attached to seemingly nothing .. )

@dafnanaphtali, there are no fixes for patching problems like you mention in this update.

Hi, thanks for all the pattrstorage fixes!
Regarding what @dafnanaphtali said, here's a screen shot of what I would call "patchcords to nowhere". This has happened to me before on both 7.3.2 and 7.3.3, haven't noticed that on earlier versions sounds though. It happens on random objects, once it was just an empty patch ezadc~ connected to ezdac~. The patch cords work and reinstantiating the sending object usually fixes the glitch.

@dafnanaphtali what are your audio and scheduler settings? You can get all of the relevant settings by going to Max->About Max and clicking on 'copy support information to clipboard'.

Hey guys I'm in need of help here. I am completely new to the whole max thing and my college has a module on it. I have decided to make a guitar effects processor controlled by a wii remote (dated I know). All the tutorials I have found are outdated and I'm really really stuck. I have managed to connect the wii controller to the computer via osculator and I have routed the button values and acceleration values to max but thats as far as it goes. PLEASE PLEASE can someone save me here? ps I am willing to pay you like $20.

Regards, Fern

I have been playing around with the updated seq object and have run into a problem: max crashes when opening a midi file in .txt format with seq. It's a .txt file that has been saved by seq itself. Let me know if I have to provide an example midi file in .txt format. So far I believe it doesn't depend on the midi commands within the file.

@EDWIN I can reproduce and will have a closer look, thanks!

@Ben, thanks a lot for having a look. It is a very handy feature to be able to use .txt files, edit them and even generate them.

Best! Edwin
