Max 7 remove textbutton gradient
Hello,
Is there a way to remove the default gradient on a textbutton ? I didn't found any way of doing that, and I want to use only a solid color background for the textbuttons in my patchs... any idea ?
Thanks for the help !
if you color both halves of the gradient to same color it will look solid.
Thanks for the help !
But I don't see any gradient in the palette color like the panel object for example.
maybe you should try live text.
Indeed, live text does the job fine, so I will use it now ! But I'll have to change the textbutton in all my patchs... It's very silly that we can't disable the gradient on the textbutton...
Big thanks to you Wil.
Totally silly in the era of flat design.
And the same goes for [panel], [message], etc.
In latest Max (7.0.6), I don't have gradients in the textbutton object.
Anyway, for panels or messages : n the inspector, in the color palettes, if you click in the 'Gradient' text (bottom left of the palette), you will switch from 'Gradient' to 'Color Fill'.
Yes, for panels and messages it's ok with the gradient / color fill switch, but I hope they will add the same option for textbutton because I use a lot of them in my interface and I don't like at all the gradient look... And I find no way to remove it...
any update on this? :) thinking textbutton is really handy (multiple lines, resize by font etc etc), but the gradient is killing me! :o
i suppose it'd be simple to fix this with a jspainter file, but i'm not at all familiar with this.
Nope, no update. If you're not into using the live.text object, then jspainter is the way to go.
