Max and Game Engines

Hi,

I'm only getting started on this, so I'm still trying to figure out what's possible and what has already been done as joint ventures (and adventures) of Max and Game Engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity, Godot) interacting and working together. So, here goes:

What would be the best learning sources and resources — books, blogs, video tutorials, etc. — for someone who's getting started? And last, but not least, what are the best, most ground-breaking examples you know, no matter how experimental, of Max and Game Engines working in tandem in concerts, plays, installations, games, Augmented and Virtual Reality, etc.?

Any hints or insights on this issue would be much appreciated.

All the best,
António

Browsing on this turned out to be a true disappointment, there are no real sources or resources available or even any real accounts of successful endeavours in the recent past by other maxers. It seems that getting into this is walking into a dead end. Truly disappointing.

Thanks for the input, luvulongtime. I had seen myu, and even downloaded it from I.I. Bukvic's page, but it's a an oldie from 2009... I didnt see any new developments after that, that's the reason for my reply above.

I'm aware of many projects that connect Max to the Unity game engine via OSC communication. Here is a resource that may help: https://thomasfredericks.github.io/UnityOSC/
I suspect there are other similar efforts available as well.

Thanks, Andrew. The GitHub project you linked seems great, it's exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for.
