Max applications for iPad
Hi there
One of my friends is planning to make a children music application for iPad.
So I was thinking, is it possible to load max applications on an iPad? Or to export a Max application as pure code for him?
Best regards
Nikolaj de Haan
hello Nikolaj,
the answer is NO.
You can't run a Mac application directly on an iPad because an iPad is not a mac, the processor has a different architecture.
Of course many of us would like to do so but it is to Cycling 74 to decide or not to invest time into this development.
There are some workaround though:
Run Max on a mac or a pc and communicate with an iPad/iPhone application to display and interact with you computer.

An alternative would be to use pure data and pdlib to insert a pure data patch into another program
yep,
some good news

Note "*mac* app store" here.

Damon Holzborn is finishing the system up -- his dissertation is due in the next month. We're hoping to do a presentation on the system at NIME in May.
