Max Editor Startup / Device Editing Problem

Hi,

I'm experiencing a very strange issue since a couple of days, where i'm completely unable to open any m4l patches in the editor at all via the "edit button" in Live. This is what happens: open a device in Live, click "edit", in Live it reads Starting Max Editor, Max launches, but then it forces itself into the foreground, no other work is possible anymore, and the patch won't open either. I have to quit Max to relief the situation. They work ok independantly.

I'm puzzeled by this. Nothing changed in my installation. Below are some observations from the console output...
This is on Mac OSX 10.8.2 / Live 9.0.2 / MAX 6.1.2 (full Version with GEN).

Any ideas?
