Max for Live: Quad Panner Automation Problems

Hi!

I have a problem with a Max for Live quad panner, that I would like to automate in Ableton. Attached is the patch. Maybe one of you can help me out? The problem is the following:

The quad panner successfully controls the 4 sends I created on my track when I move it with the mouse (see the pictslider). Now I would like to automate the movement (basically a slow clockwise circle) with two separate live.sliders, one for Front-Back, the other one for Left-Right. The automation values from Ableton transport just fine into the patch, because I can see the sliders moving according to the values in time.

However, the sends that the sliders are supposed to control in Ableton are responding in a very different way: They generally follow the automation path, but a lot slower and they get stuck in one 'corner'. Also, there is high CPU computation and the patch often crashes, when I stop the process.

I'm using Ableton 8.4.1 and Max 6.0.8. Could it be just a communication problem in this version or is there something wrong in my patch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Martin

Sorry, didn't know that I couldn't post a M4L patch. Hope it works as a .zip file now…
