Max for Live's Ctrl1LFO crashing Live 9
Hi all,
I've been experiencing frequent crashes with Live 9.1.7 and Max4Live (6.1.9) and I think that Max's “Ctrl1LFO” device is the culprit. The crash will usually occur within about 20mins to an hour of working on a project containing multiple instances of this device. Live's cpu meter will shoot up to 2000+ %, audio will freeze and Live crashes.
I set up a test project consisting of 6 instances of Ctrl1LFO modulating a series of Max API dials (no plugins, no audio of any kind), and it crashed within 20 minutes.
Projects without this device are generally stable, but it's one of the most useful devices in the API and I tend use it in most of my work.
The issue seemed to occur after updating to Live 9 (or possibly after one of the updates to Live 9/Max 6). I don't recall it ever being an issue in Live 8.
