Max + Motu + Eurorack = issues calibrating 1v per octave - please help!
I am trying to calibrate 1v per octave from Max to a Doepfer a-110-1 Standard VCO. I have looked through previous threads and tried Oli Larkin's idea of using a multimeter to establish what constitutes a volt when sending 0. - 1. from the sig~ object. 1 volt = 0.241125 and when I double triple and quadruple this number is shows up perfectly as 1 2 3 4 volts. So far so good. However, this doesn't scale to exact octaves on the oscillator? If I tunes the first volt on the oscillator to an E, 2 volts = -7 ct ... 3 volts = -14ct ... 4 volts = -22.9ct. Does anyone know why this is?
Many thanks!!
Have you taken a look at the BEAP modules used for calibration? They're under the Output tab in the BEAP browser over there on the lower left-hand side of your Max 7 patcher window....
I can't get the 64bit version of Sigmund to work, which means I can't use it with ableton etc...
That sounds like the 64-bit version of sigmund~, then.
Platform? Version? Version of Live? Otherwise, we're all playing 20 questions.
Sorry to be vague and thank you for your help. I managed to get it working last night - for some reason I had to move all my patches that include bonk~/fiddle~/sigmund~ out of my search path and now it works? I am on osx yosemite, max 7.2.1 Ableton Live suite 9.6.1.
Hmmm. Sounds like somebody's got a naming problem somewheres....
How do you mean? Lot's of files with a similar name? I do get messages in my Max consol saying warning multiple versions of the same file in your file patch, or something like that
