when i connect my line6 pod studio to my mac it is recognised by the mac and ableton live but not by any max patch developed by the monome community. has anyone else encountered this problem? i'm probably missing a configuration step. please can anyone help?

(he means... since i read elsewhere that the driver/input doesn't even show up in audio/dsp status for him... that it isn't recognized by max in general(not just monome max apps) ;D)

only thing i can advise before you try emailing cycling74 directly(with exact details of your line6 audio i/o model, driverversion, machinespecs, max version etc.), is to delete your preferences folder located here for max6:

[userhome]/library/applicationsupport/cycling'74

[userhome]/library/preferences/max5preferencesfolder

(delete the "max5preferencesfolder" there)

(sorry i was too lazy to spell those filepaths with proper caps and spaces... you should see em though... hmmm... this sentence probably took longer to write than it would have to just capitalize them.... oh well, i'm eccentric like that :p :D )

next time you startup max it will rebuild the prefs and in the process might fix audio/driver confusion.

(if you can't see the 'library' folder on your comp and don't feel like terminalizing to show hidden files on your comp, try holding option/alt key while using your Finder's "GO" menu, and the library folder can be opened from there, too)
