Max sequencer to Nord G2 midi program change problem
I have built a sequencer with max to control 4 slots in my nord G2 engine all containing different frequency modulation synths. All works well except every now and then the BPM on the nord G2 editor lights up red and momentarily jumps to 44BPM and back to the default 120BPM and it also changes program now and then to a different patch. This all leads me to think that max is sending program change messages to the nord G2 Engine.
The sequencer is sending noteout messages via the midiout object via my m-audio soundcard and controller messages via ctlout on midi channels 1,2,3 & 4 and control change messages on cc40 through cc47.
Is there anything in max I should make sure I have turned off in the settings?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sorry I meant The sequencer is sending noteout messages via the noteout object not the midiout object.
