Max tutorials without a midi device???

I have only 9 days left on my Max/MSP demo and won't have a midi device before then!!!

Is there a way to add some things to each tutorial patch to allow notes to be played from my laptop keyboard and then output through my laptop speakers?

I have tried to add the Key object, but haven't had success with that, and can't find anything to handle the output through the speakers.

Did a search on the forum and found nothing.

Can this be done?

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond.

Cheers,
Bill

your easiest bet would be the kslider-helpfile.
just reroute its midi-output (doubleclick the noteout) to "from max/msp1", set
the midi-input in your tutorial patches to "from max/msp1" and you`ll have a
nice little keyboard sending into max.

hope that helps
